Whole School and Class Assemblies
Monday
The headteacher, who is also the religious education lead, leads the children (with the senior chaplains) in whole school worship on a Monday morning, which are usually based on the Gospel from the Sunday before or have themes, which focus on our school ethos and Catholic identity.
Wednesday
On Wednesdays there is a liturgy for each keystage, planned and delivered by the children themselves.
Thursday
Thursday is the day for class worship if they are not at church or involved in the class assembly. Once again, they are planned and delivered by the children.
Friday
On a Friday afternoon we have our ‘Star of the Week’ assembly. It is a beautiful celebration of the children and their many gifts, talents and achievements.
Celebration of Mass
We celebrate Mass in church at the beginning and end of every school year; on all special feast days if we are in school and special times in the liturgical year of the church. Each class takes it in turn to join in Mass on Thursday morning, with the parishioners. This also includes Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Statements to live by
Each week, one of the statements to live by is distributed to each class at the end of Monday worship. They are then discussed within each class and annotated with all the ways in which the children plan to live out those statements in their daily life.
Mini Vinnies
Each week class 3 run Minnie Vinnie sessions with our lay chaplain. The pupils learn about a bible story using drama and art. They complete each session with the Minnie Vinnie song. Minnie Vinnies are proactive in supporting the most vulnerable in society, including in our own community.+
Year Five yearly retreat to the Briars.
Year five pupils complete a yearly Briars retreat which helps to prepare pupils for chaplaincy.

Holy Mass Online Every Sunday
Although Sunday Masses are now being celebrated in parish churches, Redemptorist Publications is pleased to continue to offer Sunday Mass online, especially for those who cannot yet return to their parish church.
We pray that this will enable the faithful to feel connected, to their faith and church community, during this difficult time.
